What sleeping bag should I get for a summer backpacking trip to the Adirondacks?

I'm planning on a backpacking trip this summer to the Adirondack mountains. I'm not from the area, so I was wondering how cold it gets during the summer months in the Adirondack region and what temperature range of sleeping bag would I need for camping in the ADKs?

During the summer, temperatures in the Adirondacks during the night can hit lows in the 40's and 50's depending on the altitude of your campsite. So you will want a sleeping bag that's at least rated to 40 degrees, but you may be better off with a 30 degree sleeping bag. If you plan on camping during the Spring or Fall, you'd want at a minimum a 20 degree mummy bag.
