I was given 3 medications to take after my ACL reconstruction surgery:

1) Oxycodone / Acetaminophen (5 /325 mg Tab Amneal): Take 1-2 tablets by mouth every 4-6 hours as needed for pain. Max daily does of 8 tablets.

2) Ketorolac (10 mg Tab Mylan): Take 1 tablet by mouth three times a day with meals for 5 days.

3) Cephalexin (500 mg Cap Lupin): Take 1 capsule by mouth four times a day for three days.

NOTE: I only took Oxycodone for 4 days, and would set the alarm on my iPhone every 4-6 hours (throughout the night) in order to stay ahead of the pain, then I only needed to take it for 3 nights to help with sleeping.  After that I was done taking any medications and never needed to take any off the shelf pain relievers like Advil.
