Skiing in a No Fall Zone

"Teton Gravity Research traveled to the Grand Teton National Park to ski Mount Moran’s three iconic lines: the Sickle, East Horn and Skillet. An army of athletes, including Angel Collinson, Max Hammer, Griffin Post and Mark Carter, cinematographers and porters traveled six miles across a frozen Jackson Lake to reach the base of the peak. In order to be successful, each group needed its own guide, camera crew and perfect communication with each other.

The most impressive of these three lines is Max Hammer’s descent of the Sickle. Rarely skied, the Sickle requires a mandatory rappel halfway through the line, but because of a high snow year, that was not needed. Hammer impresses the whole crew as he navigates a no-fall zone at high speeds." - NYTimes.com
